Internationally, the plaid trend makes a big appearance on runways for the designer's Fall collections, and subsequently also in Spring collections. However in usually sunny countries such as Malaysia, the plaid trend is still appreciated; but is mostly toned down with apparel that gives a more casual but nonetheless "I'm-making-a-statement" look. What is used to be mistaken for the run-down grunge look is now mixed and matched to give a chic appeal. That said, hats off to pleats and plaid- vying for the prim and proper yet still managing to maintain that fashionable aura has never been easier.
